Key takeaways
- As of October 7, 2026, three products have been announced as UL 3700 certified: Hoymiles HiFlow Pro, APsystems EZ1 and Mango Power S.
- Hoymiles was first (July 15, 2026, certified by UL); APsystems' EZ1 is CSA-certified to UL 3700; Mango Power S was certified by Intertek in September.
- EcoFlow's STREAM line lists UL 1741 and IEEE 1547; UL 3700 certification was reported as in progress.
- A UL 3700 microinverter inside a kit doesn't automatically make the whole kit system-certified — check what the listing covers.
- Always confirm a model in the certifying lab's public database before you buy.
UL 3700 is the first US safety standard written specifically for plug-in solar. It tests what makes plugging a generator into a wall outlet risky: live plug prongs, anti-islanding, branch-circuit overload and GFCI interaction. (New to it? Read UL 3700 explained.)
Certification only began in January 2026, so listings are still scarce. This page tracks every product publicly announced as UL 3700 certified, plus the popular products that aren't there yet.

Hoymiles HiFlow Pro
Hoymiles announced the HiFlow Pro on July 15, 2026 as the first UL 3700-compliant plug-in microinverter in the US. Individual units are compact (about 4 lb), and Hoymiles describes up to 1,200 W of total output by running multiple units on separate outlets — so check your state's per-home cap and use separate, lightly loaded circuits. It's the microinverter inside the nonprofit Bright Saver's kits.
APsystems EZ1
APsystems' EZ1 is CSA-certified to UL 3700. One unit takes two panels, each on its own MPPT input, and outputs up to 900 VA — comfortably under the 1,200 W cap in most states. At $325 it's the most accessible certified microinverter for building your own kit, and the optional APmeter ($90) adds zero-export control so you don't give surplus power away.
Mango Power S
Mango Power announced on September 18, 2026 that Mango Power S had been certified by Intertek to UL 3700 — the third company to announce a certification, after Hoymiles and APsystems. Unlike the other two, it's sold as a complete system: four 300 W panels, four microinverters and a gateway that monitors energy and can prevent export.

Microinverter certified vs. system certified
UL 3700 covers plug-in PV equipment and systems. A listing can apply to a microinverter on its own or to a complete system (panels, inverter, cabling and accessories tested together). That's why a kit can contain a UL 3700 microinverter without the whole kit carrying a system listing — Bright Saver is a clear, openly disclosed example.
What does that mean for you?
- State laws generally require equipment certified by UL or an equivalent lab, without naming a specific standard. A UL 3700 microinverter is strong evidence of compliance; your state's regulators or utility may publish further guidance.
- For safety, the microinverter is the component that matters most: it's what controls anti-islanding and what the plug's safety depends on.
How to verify a certification yourself
- Find the exact model number on the product label or datasheet.
- Search the certifying lab's public directory:
- UL: Product iQ
- CSA: Certified Product Listing
- Intertek: Directory of Building Products
- Confirm the listing names UL 3700 and your model — not just "UL compliant" or "UL-recognized components."

Frequently asked questions
Which plug-in solar products are UL 3700 certified?
As of October 7, 2026: the Hoymiles HiFlow Pro microinverter (certified by UL, announced July 15, 2026), the APsystems EZ1 microinverter (CSA certified to UL 3700, announced July 2026) and the Mango Power S plug-in system (certified by Intertek, announced September 18, 2026).
Is EcoFlow STREAM UL 3700 certified?
Not as of October 7, 2026. EcoFlow's US product pages list UL 1741 and IEEE 1547 for the STREAM line, and UL 3700 certification was reported as in progress. Check EcoFlow's current listing before buying.
Is the Bright Saver balcony solar kit UL 3700 certified?
Its microinverter, the Hoymiles HiFlow Pro LV, is UL 3700 compliant. Bright Saver states that whole-kit UL 3700 system certification has not yet been achieved.
How do I check a UL 3700 certification myself?
Find the exact model number, then search the certifying lab's public directory: UL Product iQ for UL, the CSA Certified Product Listing for CSA, or Intertek's Directory of Building Products for Intertek. The listing should name UL 3700 and your model.
